Trying to get the B50 back 'on song' a check of the timing was in order. The bike has Boyer electronic ignition fitted, so no point to worry about. Just a strobe check using the marks on the alternator rotor. Followed by a 'sanity check' to make sure that the alternator marks match the angle given by the timing tool that positively locks the factory flywheel drilling to a fixed point on the crankcase.
