Brutal Doom Kickass Edition ALL Weapons Showcase, this is a Brutal DOOM fork made by D-Boi, it has lots of weapons and it is currently in the 4.0 beta phase. As I mentioned there are really lots of weapons, you can find over 25 of them including the Doom Eternal Ballista, Cyberdemon's Missile Launcher, Revolvers, MP-40 or M1911 Pistol. It also includes tons of new sprites for existing weapons such as Rocket Launcher, Minigun, Super Shotgun or Pump-Action Shotgun (these I mentioned are truly greatly refreshed). Modification has also built the Dash system known from Doom Eternal.

Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). All Realms is a quite difficult two map long WAD, you have tons of surprises to find and also quite tricky secrets to explore, plus the framerate might drag you a little during the playthrough. Both of the maps are really difficult in some places, lots of the places are ambushes from the enemies, lots of these arenas love to suddenly teleport an enemy or two just next to you. Basically when you use a switch while playing these two maps, you can rather be prepared for a trap nearby, after some minutes I was used to it a lot, ambush is almost certain. You can also surely look for secrets on both maps, as they make your playthrough a lot easier, it is necessary to grab as many of them as you can because of the ammo, BFG, Megaspheres, armors, etc. Both maps are quite different and similar at the same moment, first level has some Blood vibes with that mix of tech and blood textures, while the second as clear Duke Nukem 3D and Aliens climaxx. First map begins like a typical vanilla Phobos level, lots of the toxic slime and similar green walls, but as you go deeper and deeper, you will notice that something is really strange here. Find all secrets because one of them has a BFG that will help you a lot here, there are some nasty Cyberdemons here that love to teleport, you are also going to meet that custom Cyberdemon enemy, too. The next level seems a little bit easier but also is not that easy, a Doom Eternal Marauder makes a guest appearance here, this map is smaller but also more action packed than previous one imo. It also has way more secrets (a total of 9), some of them are really nicely hidden with these really small switches, shafts or alcoves to use, just be aware of monsters everywhere.

Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Underground Complex is a really nice and fast level created by RazoR-Wind, it contains over 350+ monsters at start, 6 secrets and over 50 items to be found, it also has two custom monsters added to the level. Two because of the suicidal Protozoid Slimers and I think that these Belphegors just at the end are custom added too because they are incredibly strong, even Quad Damage BFG blast did not destroy them. You begin outside the complex, just at the Helipad and all you have to do is to enter it, eliminate some Zombies outside and grab your first armor, might be handy once you go inside, there are some nasty Chaingunners too. Get inside grab some health bonuses and ammunition because fight has been tough fore sure, you can also grab a Chainsaw and some health bonuses in the room with Pustules or completely ignore it, its not mandatory. Just nearby a switch that has yellow keycard needed to open, there is your first secret - simply shoot at the ventilation grate and move there to get some armor bonus, first secret found out of 6 on the map. Move further and you will notice a big elevator, once you are about to press an ambush will appear - take them down and just jump down, in the room to your right is another secret wirh Berserk behind fake closet. With having a red keycard, move to another part of the Complex through the sewers, get as many ammo as possible because probably you might suffer from the ammo shortages as I did, thankfully there are lots of backpacks. When you receive a huge room with lava below and walls made of flesh with some jumping required, you are close to enter a final arena with a lot of monsters inside a two custom Belphegors, Spider Mastermind and Cyberdemon to take down. I was also really lucky with the spawn presets because having spawned Commander Shotgun, Heavy Machine Gun and PainGiver at once is a huge thing because all of these mentioned weapons kick demons ass big time!

Gate To Hell is a really difficult map to play with Project Brutality due to the amount of Revenants and Chaingunners while playing, both of these monsters should be your priority to take down immediately. Map can be divided in three parts - the UAC Facility where a titular Gate To Hell is placed and SOMETHING WENT WRONG AS ALWAYS, the hellish realm on the other side of the portal and the boss arena with Gatekeeper as a boss. The level begins already quite nice with a moderate difficulty, when you leave the bathroom the small room already has some monsters plus few Lost Souls outside, and you have a Pain Elemental already looking at you, directly. The door to your right is locked by a key, you must head to the left and already face the first Chaingunners with Revenants that early in a map, so you have to get used to them already at start of the map. Not so long after you will meet the first Hell Knights and Barons of Hell, use the elevator to reach the basement and grab a blue keycard from there, watch out for the additional sneaky Revenants and grab Megaarmor from secret area. Approach the locked doors with a key and flip a switch there to enter an outside area - waves of enemies will simply teleport to make short work of you, thankfully you have lots of room to maneuver and strife. Move inside and activate the teleport to the Hell Realm but watch out because some more enemies are about to spawn, when you are about to enter the teleporter, be ready because outside is the hardest part of this map, huge open area. A huge open area with really scarce health pickups and lots of Revenants placed in really nasty highrounds, add to this like 150+ monsters in open area where cover is hard and you really have a nasty place to finish off. Just when you are about to enter a final arena with Gatekeeper, do not forget about picking up the Megasphere from the secret teleporter left to the main doors by shooting the small button inside a blood pool.

Project Slipgate Remastered Demo has four incredibly detailed levels set across Quake II climax maps, mappack is also really huge because it weighs over 400MB and has high quality textures with sound effects and music inside. The difficulty of this WAD is moderate, there are not really difficult ambushes where you are stormed by for example dozens of Hell Knights or Revenants at the same time, think more of a casual/vanilla DOOM or Quake approach to player. Of course there are some surprises waiting for you such as invisible monsters (they are the same monsters as always but they have an invisible flag) that reveal only once attacking you and quite frankly, lots of them are Arch-Viles. It is more a WAD that focuses on the atmosphere than actions, the monster amount is not huge on every map (never exceeds 200, most of the times lower than 100), its good to have a flashlight addon always ready to use. Some of the sections are also really long and you must wait (thus I had to cut the video in some places because waiting might be problematic) and its good to familiarize yourself with layout because it is easy to feel lost. There are also some custom assets/triggers for you to be used, for example you must power up the portal with a battery found just nearby, otherwise you will not activate an exit teleporter and one last remaining monster. The third level might feel the smallest because only there are 20+ monsters just at the beginning but because of that nasty surprise at the end (I will not spoil to you) its easy to fail the map, especially with PB monsters around. Once you reach an escape there is a last final map where we leave Quake II techbase setting for good and head straight to Hell for a final boss and his minions waiting for us but in my opinion the final confronation is thankfully not that hard. It is really good for you (player) to find as many secrets as possible because they mostly have Backpacks, Plasma Rifles, Soulspheres, Megaarmors, Rocket Launchers and other stuff way earlier than during the normal playthrough.

Second part of the Circles of Hell episode where we enter even more complex stages with much more monsters than before, expect really heavy fighting to come, the demons are pretty much everywhere so be warned. Not only the enemies want you dead while exploring the maps but level design does it too, expect crushing ceiling in a lot of places around maps, same with burning hot lava and places where you can simply fall down and stuck. You must prepare yourself for a really tough fighting when playing, lots of the encounters are really cranked up to eleven, monsters suddenly appearing from walls, sudden Revenant just next to your face, you name it. When some places involve you reaching a place and then returning, you most likely can expect a much worse trip back because some doors with dozens of monsters are going to open for sure, trust me this is really hard. You will notice that there are tons of ammo and weapons laying around together with health and armor bonuses, this is because of no Zombies or Former Humans at all, Hell is exclusively filled only with demon enemies so no ammo drops from them. The mappack is pretty demanding if you want to play it with gameplay mods for sure, you must turn on the dynamic lighting and shadowmaps because its suggested by the author, so for the best climax and aesthetics this is surely needed. If you want to survive such onslaughts you really need to find as many secrets as possible and there plenty of them, most of the times these are small rooms or alcoves nicely hidden behind fake walls with plenty of ammo or health. Levels are fairly large and complex, if you hated the E3M7 Limbo from Ultimate Doom, the recreation of it here is even more complex and longer, there is a large hall in the center with 8 doors leading to various places on map. For me this is surely one of the most difficult episodes/mappacks Ive ever played, mostly because of these nasty traps with crushing ceilings that can take you by a surprise, together with lots of monsters spawning anywhere.

The Reckoning episode contains three very nicely looking maps to play for you, all of them can be difficult because some places on maps are quite to overcome and you must think a while how to not get killed while moving. First map begins with you in the middle of the small room with several monsters in the next room, you can also activate a secret instantly by turning around and shooting a button on the wall, it will open a wall with backpack in room nearby. Depending on your luck while playing PB you might also get a weapon upgrade, it is quite crucial because being low on ammo pretty sucks and trust me you will need it for such situations like room full of 30-40 monsters, a quite small room. The first level has only one really difficult part where you must fight the enemy in quite a Dead Simple room with 4 pillars but with Arachnotrons on them + multiple enemies concealed behind fake walls, Ive died pretty much a lot there. Before you complete the level be sure to get all of the secrets because a Backpack, Soulsphere, Megaarmor and Plasma Rifle are godly additions to your arsenal that early, because the second map can kick you pretty much in the nuts. With the second level you must collect all of the three skull keys, they are scattered around a map + author decided to give you lots surprises to overcome, suddenly you can see dozens of enemies cramped in small places, grenade launcher is pretty good. I mean, when you see a 15+ or so Plasma Zombies that are really a difficult enemy in groups because of their unpredictable attack pattern, incendiary grenades love to cook or fry them really fast, just try to not get hurt because of it. BUT BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU LEAVE A SECOND LEVEL BECAUSE THERE IS A DEATH EXIT SO YOU WILL START A LAST MAP WITH ALL WEAPONS REMOVED, but do not be so mad or sad because you will quickly find a super shotgun with some ammo, nice. You will have to find last two keys to enter a final arena with a Cyberdemon at the defenceless Icon of Sin at the end, the episode ends once you unload anything at expoded brain of the Icon of Sin, then you are sent to the Void...
