BRP JOSE RIZAL missiles and torpedo launcher systems already installed aboard


The first-ever missile frigate of the Philippines arrived on May 23, and while most are excited and proud to finally have it, there are a few who are skeptical about the ship’s installed weapons systems.

The Philippine News Agency, in a report published on May 26, may include the answer to most of the Filipinos’ questions.

According to the report, PN public affairs office chief, Lt. Commander Maria Christina Roxas, said, and we quote, all of the weapons systems of the ship, including the missiles and torpedo launchers, are already installed aboard.
She added that the PN is now waiting for the delivery of these munitions which is scheduled sometime in 2021.

The arrival of the BRP Jose Rizal has raised some questions regarding the existence of its armaments and weapons systems. Hopefully, Lt. Commander Maria Roxas’ statement through the PNA will now help clarify all the misconceptions.
