The Maya-3 and Maya-4 Cube Satellites of the Philippines recently launched into space are the first Philippine university-built satellites designed and developed by the first batch of scholars under the (STAMINA4Space) Program: Project 3 - Space Science and Technology Proliferation through University Partnerships (STeP-UP), funded and supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
The Maya 3 & Maya 4 cube satellites of the Philippines were brought into space via SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket which carried supplies to the International Space Station bringing along the two Maya satellites.
The Maya 3 & Maya 4 cube satellites of the Philippines will be succeeded by Maya 5 and Maya 6 cube satellites which are already in development.
