Video footage taken on a 2-day photographic charter organised by Neil Cave of TimeLine Events TLE). The video features British Railways 4-4-0 Class D49 number 62712 ‘Morayshire’ in BR lined black livery. The loco was originally built for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) in 1928 and withdrawn from service by British Railways in 1961. It is now based at the Scottish Railway Preservation Society’s site at Bo’ness.
At the time of filming in March 2015 the locomotive was visiting the North Norfolk Railway in the UK. Day 1 of the charters features the locomotive hauling a rake of BR coaches in ‘blood & custard’ livery whilst on Day 2 it is seen in action with the railway’s beautifully restored teak ‘Quad Art’ set. Footage includes scenes at Sheringham, Weybourne and Holt stations as well as lineside locations in the countryside.
LNER 4-6-0 Class B12 number 8572 is also seen briefly in action at Weybourne station.
