During the 1970s, masked gunman Donald Neilson terrorised Britain through burglaries, armed post-office robberies and murder.
He gained the nickname the “Black Panther” for his dark clothing and speed.
In 1975, Neilson kidnapped 17-year-old heiress Lesley Whittle and demanded a £50,000 ransom.
Almost immediately things began to go wrong and the entire ordeal would eventually end in tragedy.
