Seattleās Jar of Flies; Ultimate Tribute to Alice In Chainsā Daryl Williams (Drums), JT Phillips (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals), Kyyle Cort (Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals), Lee Bruso (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals) and Brendan Maier (Lead Vocals), perform at the Layne Staley Tribute Main Concert. Also on stage, Ten Miles Wide Lead Guitarist Jake Carden has been a regular guest at the past several tributes (except 2018).

Brendan Maier is a member of Jar of Flies. Heās the only vocalist known to sound extraordinarily like Layne Staley. However, thereās still enough of a distinction to hear Maierās own original vocals when he sings. We are very proud of our Alice In Chains Tribute Band, Jar of Flies. Brendan was well received into the band almost instantly. Soon after the Seattle Music Community embraced him.

Event: Night 2 of a 2 Night Tribute to Layne Staley.
Layne passed away on April 5, 2002 after a long battle with drug addiction. Since August of 02, an annual concert weekend has been held to honor Layne. The tribute weekend also raises money to fund the Layne Staley Fund through Therapeutic Health Services. The money raised provides treatment to musicians struggling with addiction. It also provides resources to their families.
