Today’s video is a special one in so many ways. After more than 80 videos, we have our first in-person duet. All these online music videos and concerts started as a way for people to work with fellow performers in their own homes without geographical constraints. I’m so glad these projects have been able to connect many people together. Amongst them are Nicola and Charlotte, who have taken part in many of our projects – and they found out that they actually live very close together in the South. Someone suggested that they should do a duet together in a response to my story a few weeks ago and they were both very keen on this idea. I proposed this song, believing that they will be able to do the harmonies beautifully. This song is the story of many aspiring performers who are waiting for their break, to be, as the song goes, ‘the one they call on the stage, finally in the light’. For my part, I try to give as many people as possible the opportunity to be featured on this little platform and to make sure the video I produce are of the best quality for their talent and passion to be appreciated. The duet was originally performed by Taylor Louderman and Natalie Weiss and, for our video, we have a duo that perhaps is just as amazing. Recording during half-term, it’s Nicola and Charlotte’s rendition of ‘Break from the Line’.
