Here's an incredibly quick bread and butter pickles recipe that produces amazing results. In this video you'll find step-by-step instruction on how to make a quick, 24 hour pickle. This sweet style pickle is a staple in the Southern pantry. They're great to munch on alone, throw a few quick pickles on a burger for some zip or grab a little pimento cheese and a few crackers for a mid-day snack. In this video I used both cucumbers and yellow squash to make quick pickles, but you could easily use all of one or the other. Cider Vinegar 24 oz (3 cups)
Granulated Sugar 5.25 oz (.75 cups)
Kosher Salt 1.25 oz (2 Tbsp)
Whole Mustard Seed .5 oz (3 tsp)
Whole Celery Seed .1 oz (1 tsp)
Ground Tumeric .1 oz (1 tsp)
English Cucumbers 6 oz (about half a cucumber)
Summer Squash 6 oz (about 2 small squashes)
Yellow Onion 3 oz (about half of a small onion)
