Stern Pissarro Gallery in Mayfair is an international family art business specializing in impressionist, modern and contemporary masters. The gallery occupies a unique position in the global art scene, representing five generations of works by the Pissarro family. With the strongest collection of Pissarro works worldwide, the gallery lends extensively to international museums and institutions and has become a centre of research and expertise for the work of Camille Pissarro’s descendants. For their BRAFA in the Galleries presentation, Stern Pissarro Gallery puts American abstract expressionist artist Paul Jenkins (1923-2012) in the spotlights. The self-declared Abstract Phenomenist was fascinated with mysticism, spirituality and psychoanalysis. His almost meditative way of painting resulted in translucently layered colour compositions.
BRAFA in the Galleries (27 - 31 January 2021) is the newly created alternative to the BRAFA Art Fair at Tour & Taxis, Brussels, which has been postponed to January 2022. Our exhibitors will welcome you in their galleries, where they will present the objects and artworks selected for BRAFA 2021 in the best possible conditions. In total, 129 art dealers spread across 14 countries and 38 cities look forward to sharing their passion for the beautiful, the rare, the precious and the historical in a warm, friendly atmosphere, in line with the rules in place in their area.
