About 100 bicycles were reported stolen in Bozeman between Jan. 1 and the end of July, according to the Bozeman Police Department, reported values ranging from inexpensive bikes to models worth tens of thousands of dollars.
Community Resource Officer Bre Sanders said bicycle thefts are not concentrated in one part of the city.
“In terms of this year, between January 1st and the end of July, we've had about a hundred reports of stolen bikes,” Sanders said. “In terms of value, it really ranges. It could be a bike that costs twenty dollars to a bike that costs $20,000.”
