NASCAR is coming to Winston-Salem on for the COOKOUT CLASH exhibition race at Bowman Gray on January 31-February 1st but just 5 days out from racing action a winter storm left the quarter mile race track looking like this.
The Sleet and Snow that fell over the weekend blanketed the track, the grandstands and the parking lots in in white.
Crews were working furiously Monday morning to get it all clear for the weekend's racing itenerary. The pit area od the track can be seen in this video already cleared down to the blacktop and crews were staging to plow the track soon.
