On race weekend 1 year since the passing of Robbie Brewer from a medical emergency during a Street Stock Race at Bowman Gray, Brewer’s friend and fellow racer, Brad Lewis, wheeled and willed his way to victory lane in memory of Brewer.
Unfortunately, this race was not a great show. It took several extra pace laps at the beginning to get the lineup right, and then it was caution after caution after caution after caution, for a total of 8 caution in 14 laps before the race was ended under the time limit.
Lewis did have to drive for all he was worth to hang on with repeated shots from Craig Hartless(10) and Kevin Gilbert(13) who were able to get to his bumper and try to shove him out of the way on each of the restarts. The most green flag laps in a row was just 2 laps, two times.
Lewis is the points leader and favorite to win the Street Stock Championship. This was his 4th win of the 2026 season.
