Practicing the friction fire bow drill method using all natural materials. I used Yellow Pine for all parts except the coal-catch and bowstring. The bowstring is made from fiber strands twisted together from a Queen Palm Tree branch. The coal-catch is also from a Palm tree.
I'm making due with materials I had on-hand. I've also been practicing using smaller parts than usual.
