Here's how I made Bourbon Chicken from food storage.
Bourbon Chicken
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. ginger
3/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 cup apple juice
1/3 cup light brown sugar
2 tbsp. ketchup
1 tbsp. cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 quart canned chicken
Mix all ingredients together except for cornstarch and chicken. Bring to a boil and simmer. Add 1 tbsp. of cornstarch which has been mixed into a little water. Boil until thickened and add canned chicken. Let simmer until heated through. Serve over rice.
