Remixing the full soundtrack of two Mario&Luigi games apparently isn't enough.
Yesterday, I listened to my old remix of the M&L2 Boss Theme and instantly thought "I can do that WAY better". Ok, to be fair, the old one was made using very limited software and equipment and my skill back then wasn't exactly on the same level as it is today, but that doesn't mean I can't improve old track! That's what I did, and I improved the sound a asdfghjllion times.

[APRIL FOOLS 2018]
Recently, a fellow remixer named Purple (https://www.youtube.com/user/Purple1222119), with Envys help (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK1pMKtDayl1kxvfc8bZQSQ) discovered an all-new music track hidden deep inside the games ROM: MUS_SEQ_B_BATTLE.sseq! Envy later uploaded a video of this sequence played using the final Boss Battle Themes samples. The file is only present in the 1.0 versions of the US and japanese ROMs, it has been removed from all european releases.
The reason why nobody discovered it earlier is the crazy compression on this one: the sequence file was YAZ0 compressed, but also encrypted using a simple circular bitshift. But besides that, there was still a huge clump of binary data.
Today, I finally managed to decrypt it, which revealed that it was actually an extremely early version of the DS SoundFont format, with WAY LESS limitations. I eventually figured out how to convert it to a usable format and tried playing Purples SSEQ file with this new amazing SoundFont. In this video, I present the REAL way this early, unused battle theme should sound!
