Very rare documentary movie - "Distinguished people of Russia - Boris Alexandrov" (in Russian). This movie is about Boris Alexandrov the conductor, composer and the leader of the Alexandrov Red Army Choir.

Some notes about this film:
Boris Alexandrov's apartment was located just across the river from the place where Christ the Saviour Cathedral used to be located. It wasn't there when the movie was made because the Communists demolished it in 1931, and it was only rebuilt in 2000. So in the movie at 8:30 Boris says that he used to sing in the Cathedral's choir when he was a kid and points out the Cathedral's place from his window. "That's where the Christ the Savior (Cathedral) used to be!" -- says Boris. And next there is a part showing the destruction of the Cathedral and one hears the Mephistopheles (Satan's) aria playing in the background. At the end of the movie you can see the same part but reversed back. So the author hopes that the Cathedral will be brought back to life again someday. (Remember, this film was made in 1994.) The final song in the movie is Son of Russia performed by Boris Shopenko. Note that this song was also often performed by Leonid Kharitonov.
Leonid Kharitonov was also an initiator and organizer of this documentary film.
