The Albanian folk song "Dark Eyes" performed by Ivan Savchuk and the choir of the Red Banner Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army named after A.V. Alexandrov (with English subtitles). Recorded in 1956.
SAVCHUK Ivan Ivanovich (1919-1996)
Ivan Ivanovich joined the Red Army Choir in January 1946. He becomes "the released soloist" in 1949. He took part in the ensemble concert tours in twenty-six countries of the world. In 1965 he returned to the choir again. The singer left the Alexandrov Ensemble in 1982.
Savchuk had the voice of the lyric tenor of extraordinary natural beauty, which he easily and perfectly managed. He masterfully performed the most complicated folk songs.
