This is a quick edit of just a small sample of the footage that I shot near Tromso as well as Karasjok, Finnmark, Northern Norway on my annual trip to shoot the Northern Lights. This year saw some really colourful and bright Aurora as well as some very challenging shooting conditions with temperatures dropping down to -34c at times. This video is of time-lapse material but I did also shoot some real time footage which will be included in a future film. Primary camera used in this video was the Sony Alpha A99 with a Sony NEX5N as the secondary camera. Exposures ranged from 10 seconds to 2.5 seconds using f2.8 lenses at either 1600 or 3200 ISO.
