Written by Jim Steinman, the song was recorded by Bonnie Tyler for her 1982 album "Faster Than the Speed of Night".
It became her biggest hit, one of the best-selling singles of the following year, received a Grammy nomination, and is considered one of the most iconic ballads from the 1980's.

Needless to say, "Total Eclipse of the Heart" makes for a fantastic piano cover!
