Bonnie revives a #1 UK (#32, US) hit for the Equals, the group led by Eddy Grant. Her recording career began in 1971 with a self-titled blues-themed album. Her second album, “Give It Up” entered the US album charts, beginning a chart run that continues to this day and which includes two #1 albums, “Nick Of Time” (1989) and “Longing In Their Hearts” (1994).
“Green Light”, released in 1982, reached #38 on the US album chart. Her back-up band included one-time Beach Boy, Ricky Fataar, who went on to have a successful career as a music producer in Australia. He co-produced a recording of another Eddy Grant song, when Renee Geyer covered “Say I Love You” and had a #5 Australian hit in 1981.
