Did some prime bone in ribeyes from Linz on the SNS Home ’N Go Travel Kettle hot and fast! Great steaks!
• Started with two nice bone in Ribeyes from Meats by Linz. Prime Cuts.
• Salt brined the ribeyes and put in refrigerator for 24 hours.
• Set up the SNS Travel Kettle Grill direct and indirect cooking.
• Lit the charcoal in the basket for hot and fast.
• Decided to do the searing one steak at a time because they were a decent size.
• Seared for 1 minute at a time to control the flames.
• Pulled them once we reached 100F.
• We had 2 perfectly cooked ribeyes!
Summary: The Ribeyes turned out perfect! The Slow and Sear Travel Kettle Grill worked perfectly and would do these exactly the same next time. Having the ChefsTemp ProTemp 2 Plus Probes and being able to monitor the temperature while searing is a game changer!
