I spent the day in my lovely garden yesterday, tidying and mowing grass and being at one with nature, and noticed the buds of blossom on the trees. Early for us this year! How quickly the seasons come and go..It prompted me to re post this one, dedicated to my favourite blossom tree. My 200 year old apple:)
Wishing you all bright, spring blessings:)
Blossom tree, cover me
Lay your branches down
Let your scent, cleanse the air
As your petals stroke my hair
And the wind blows through your emerald leaves
And the sun's rays touch the ground
And I lie beneath your knowing soul
Where my thoughts are safe and sound
Blossom tree, do you remember me
From all those years ago
When you'd listen to my hopes and fears
And your autumn fruits they did grow
And the same winds blew, but with a chilly feel
And the sun rays faded fast
And I shivered on the golden ground
Where my thoughts felt safe and sound
Blossom tree, cover me
Your fragile leaves , kiss my hand
I'll see you again when the robin sings
And the winter snow keeps you still
And the wind will blow over barren fields
And the sun rays may bring a thaw
And i'll lie with you on the frozen ground
Where my thoughts will stay safe and sound
Blossom tree......
