This highly anticipated album from the horror punk, deathrock, and metal powerhouse promises a fierce blend of genres, combining dark punk fury with metal-driven riffs, all wrapped in the eerie spirit of classic horror punk. If you're a fan of bands like Misfits , Samhain , and Bloody Hammers , this one’s for you.

BloodSong began as the vision of Chris Waters (aka I, Misanthrope ), who, inspired by his love for old-school Misfits and Samhain , set out to create a sound that combined horror punk, deathrock, and metal. Debuting in October 2018 with the single “I Want Your Blood” , Waters fulfilled a long-held dream of crafting the type of music he'd always imagined in his dreams—raucous, dark, and unabashedly punk.

In 2021, after watching a pivotal YouTube video by Jeff Frumess on the differences between the Misfits’ Earth AD and Samhain’s Initium , BloodSong released "Initium Meets Earth AD" , a transformative cover album that explored what might have happened if songs from both albums had swapped places. The project was a game-changer, showcasing BloodSong’s ability to mix homage with innovation.

Fast forward to 2023, another Jeff Frumess video inspired BloodSong to record the original track "Glub" , a tribute to the late Manny Martinez (Misfits' drummer). The song, written in the style of The Misfits’ Cough/Cool , further cemented BloodSong’s position as a band that mixes nostalgia with a modern twist.

Now, in 2024, Season of the Dead emerges as the most ambitious album yet. The album features 4 tracks of relentless dark punk and metal fury and 4 remixed versions that add new dimensions to the songs, pushing the boundaries of punk, metal, and everything in between. Season of the Dead is set to haunt your playlists, with its mix of raw energy, haunting melodies, and intricate compositions.
