Enrage Announces New Single "Old Boy" and Upcoming Album "The Greys"

Staten Island, NY – December 4, 2024 – Legendary Staten Island metalcore/hardcore band Enrage is thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated new single, “Old Boy,” on Friday, December 13, 2024. This track marks the first single from their upcoming full-length album, The Greys, slated for release in April 2025. Fans can look forward to a new single each month leading up to the album launch.

About the Band

Formed in the gritty streets of Staten Island and inspired by the Sunday hardcore matinees at New York’s CBGB’s and the thrash metal nights at Brooklyn’s L’Amours, Enrage emerged as a powerhouse in the metalcore and hardcore scene. Founded by childhood friends, the band’s first demo, “Burning Within,” was produced by Josh Silver of Type O Negative and sold over 3,000 copies, solidifying their presence in the NYC music scene.

The band quickly became a staple at iconic venues such as L’Amours, CBGB’s, Limelight, The Wetlands, and Coney Island High, sharing stages with legendary acts like Agnostic Front, Biohazard, Cro-Mags, Gwar, Hatebreed, Overkill, Prong, Sick of It All, Testament, and many more. Their 1995 debut album, Empty, produced by Noah Evans (Beastie Boys, Bad Brains), introduced the band to a wider audience, with standout track “Cooper” gaining airplay on The Howard Stern Show.

After a hiatus, Enrage returned with a renewed vigor, releasing Nothing Stays Buried in 2010, which climbed to the Top 25 on the CMJ Loud Rock charts and earned international radio play. This was followed by a series of successful EPs, culminating in the 2020 release I Wanna EP Somebody, featuring a popular cover of WASP’s “I Wanna Be Somebody.”
