In this Blender VFX Tutorial. we will be compositing the Taipei 101 into a sci fi energy tower. We will duplicate the Taipei tower a couple of times and then using Animation Nodes Addon (link below) we can create an awesome stylized Energy Beam.
Check out the Blog post here: darkfallblender.blogspot.com/2019/04/taipei-towers-vfx.html
Now I should note, this is the first time I have used the Animation Nodes Addon and I am still learning how to use it. Since there are tons more nodes to use we can create a whole load of different effects.
Now some of you may already use Animation nodes and if you do, then you will already know how to create this Energy Beam effect. I followed along a tutorial by Chris Prenninger, so you guys should certainly check it out here: youtube.com/watch?v=ot4XC_9nUd8
As I said, I am very new to this addon and would liked to have duplicated the effect two times, and I am sure any seasoned user of Animation nodes would know how to do this very easily. If you guys have any comments of suggestions are greatly welcome!.
So yeah, I really like animation nodes and will have to set some time aside to learn more about it!.
Since I couldn't duplicate the effect as I hoped, and I did not find much information that would help, so I decided to render out the effect, then re position the Energy beam in the 3d view, then I rendered it, then re-positioned it a third time and rendered that. Then I rendered out the BG video and added the Energy beam in Post.
As I said, there would certainly be a way to just duplicate the effect rather than having to do it the way I did. I hope you found this Blender VFX Tutorial helpful!

![Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial : Guardians Coast [Digital Matte Painting]
In this Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial, we will be composing another Digital Matte Painting: Guardians Coast.
For this Digital Matte Painting, I had a clear Image in mind. I wanted to carve a face into a mountain and then add a castle top village right above it. Along with a waterfall and some atmosphere.
We will be using GIMP for the Image Assets, then using blender for compositing. We will try and compose a fantasy themed Digital Matte Painting.
If the Background you use has motion you will need to track the video then add a couple of nodes to move your assets around. (in this example the Video Background is set on a Tripod so we dont need to track this footage. Be sure to check out our other Matte Paintings that do have Motion).
If you create your own Digital Matte Paintings, be sure to post links in our Facebook Group! (Link below).
I hope you enjoyed this Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial!. Remember to like and Subscribe for more!..

![Blender 2.8: VFX Nodes (Version 1.4) [Addon] - Marker Removal Node
In this video we will be looking at a new tool that has been added to the Darkfall VFX Nodes, and thats the Marker Removal Node.
With this node and a mask (or two), we can easily remove any tracking markers on our actor or even other objects too!..
Head over to our blog to download version 1.4: https://darkfallblender.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_8.html
Thanks to Hollywood Camera Work for allowing us to use their footage. You can download their videos here: https://www.hollywoodcamerawork.com/tracking-plates.html

![Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial : Posterize Effect [Node Editor]
In this Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial, we will be creating a Posterize Effect within the Node Editor.
There are a couple of ways to achieve this effect and we will be looking at a quick and simple way then at the end we will look at the proper way. Once you have create your Effect you an then go ahead and create a Super Node and save your file so that when you want to use this effect again you only need to append it as and when you want it.
I didnt have much time this week for this video and was planning to miss this weeks upload but Instead of letting you guys down I thought I would make this fairly quick video and hopefully some part of it helps..
So as always, I hope you found this Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial helpful and Thanks for watching!.. Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial : Posterize Effect [Node Editor]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/PH3Fi7FIaDI/mqdefault.jpg)

![[3D Printing] How to Model and Print a Dragons Egg (Blender)
In this Video we will be creating a Dragons Egg which will then be printed out.
If you want to download this Model check the link below.
Creating the Egg was simple enough with the help of Proportional editing.
Then We will add some scales using the Displace Modifier and an image from Textures.com (Link below).
Then when we are happy with the scale and strength we can go ahead and Export it as an STL and send it off to the 3D Printer.
(Note, I printed this out and realized the Strength was way too low so I increased it to 2.0)
This was a pretty simple Object to create but I think it turned out quite nice (though my painting skills need some work). I hope you guys enjoyed this video and as always, thanks for watching!.
