Today we will be taking a look at Blender 2.8. (Download 2.8 Beta - link below).
With the new version getting closer, I wanted to check it out and try out the Beta.
In this video, I talk about 2.8, change some settings, look at the start-up presets and we will look at an example Eevee Scene "The Tower" (created by Dominik Graf).
As I mention at the start of the video, there is nothing instructional in the video. Only my thoughts and opinions. I will link to some 2.8 Tutorials which I like and think may help you with your 2.8 journey.

In this Video we will be creating a Dragons Egg which will then be printed out.
If you want to download this Model check the link below.
Creating the Egg was simple enough with the help of Proportional editing.
Then We will add some scales using the Displace Modifier and an image from Textures.com (Link below).
Then when we are happy with the scale and strength we can go ahead and Export it as an STL and send it off to the 3D Printer.
(Note, I printed this out and realized the Strength was way too low so I increased it to 2.0)
This was a pretty simple Object to create but I think it turned out quite nice (though my painting skills need some work). I hope you guys enjoyed this video and as always, thanks for watching!.

In this video we will be looking at Version 1.3 of the Darkfall VFX Nodes Add-on.
In this third Update, I wanted to implement a few new things but since they are not ready, I thought it would be best not to include them in this weeks update. I also have been working on a few other things (not related to the add-on) that have taken up a lot of my time.
That being said, I have added a simple effect to the line up. The Film Grain Node.
This effect will create either a Color or B&W Texture to simulate Film grain which we can add to our compositions.
This is a great way to stylize your videos or integrate a 3D Model into your live action footage.
I just wanted to take out the hassle of creating this effect and I think we now have a quick way yo do this.

So this is an edited version of our very first Live Stream. I cut out all the bad parts and most of the Rambling (Warning, may still contain some rambling.. and truthful Captions)
We look at using the pivot point and how it can help us when Rotoscoping.
We then took a slight detour and messed around with the Masks to get a kind of Hollow Head effect. Masks are great to use and there are hundreds of ways to utilize them.

In this Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial, we will be attempting a kind of Hollywood Airbrushed effect in order to turn this shot into something much better.
We will be airbrushing the skin along with removing the dark circles under the eyes and also adding some color to her cheeks. We will also reduce the nose to complete the Hollywood feel.
This effect is really over the top and perfect for a Hollywood Style Airbrushed shot but you can airbrush the skin as much or as little to achieve the look you are going for.

In this video, we look at the All-in-one 3D Printer Dora by Easythreed.
The Dora is a step up from the NANO (the last 3d printer review that we did)
With speeds of up to 100mm/s and a greater build space, the Dora is really quite something.
Not only does it look beautiful, but its super simple to use. its great for beginners or young people with the simple design. Along with the Slicing software, which has a one key print option or for those who want access to more advanced settings can do so with the Custom Print Option.
I have enjoyed using the DORA and think its perfect for not only those who are just starting to 3d print but also for those who are more advanced but prefer a stylish all-in-one machine.

The next Timer we will be taking a look at is one where we can Run a Function once, every (x) amount of seconds for (n) amount of times. With this Timer we can set how many times we want a function to run along with how quick the function is ran between intervals.

In this Live Stream we will be looking at creating a very simple Particle System to add some Fireflies or Glowflies or what ever to our shot.. We have done something similar in a previous tutorial but this time we are using Live Action Footage instead of a fully CG scene.
Once we are happy with the Particle System we can then either, Render out the Fireflies then add them to our Footage in post (Which I prefer to do) or you can compose your shot from there and when you are happy with it, Render it out.
At the End I will go back and make some adjustments and make the fireflies look more unique but if you are happy with your result be sure to post your work in our Facebook Group!..
