Star Wars Hyperspace Jump Effect, part Two in which we create and animate the hyperspace tunnel.

Since the ESO has redone their site, people are reporting that this image is hard to find. The image to search for is eso0932. Click on Images, galaxies, The Milky way Panorama. Get the biggest size they have. Another source for this image, if ESO moves or removes this one later on is the Earth in Cycles file, by Adriano at Blendswap.com.

The ESO periodically updates the images available on their website.
If you don't find the Trmpler14 image at this link, either type trumpler in the search field at the top of the page, and use one of those images, or click on images, Walpapers, and use any image that has a lot of color, contrast, and lots of bright stars. By the time you finish processing it in Blender the exact image you use is not that important. Just adjust the settings in the node editor to get the desired effect.

RGB Curves Node: Factor keyframed to 1.000
Sunbeams Node: Ray Length to 1.000
Lens Distortion Node: Distortion: -0.600, Dispersion 0.400

Lens Distortion Node: Distortion: 0, Dispersion 0
