In this Blender 2.7 Tutorial #85 I cover:
- How to create simple mechanics in Blender that combines gears that 'drive' each other in Blender's physics engine.
- How to enable an extra mesh objects add-on in Blender's preferences and add & customize gears
- Customize gears: number of teeth, radius, addendum, dedendum, skew, conical angle, etc.
- How to use rigid body constraints (hinge & motor) to make a gear spin on one axis (hinge) and/or spin itself (motor)
- How to work with simulation cache, 'bake' a simulation' and convert a baked simulation into keyframes.
- How to render a gear scene including: materials (Principled PBR shader in Cycles), depth-of-field blur "bokeh", motion blur, render to an mp4 h.264 video file in Blender 2.79
