Creative Cat Productions | Blaster Master Zero is the best Blaster Master game ever made (according to CCP) @creativecatproductions | Uploaded November 2021 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
A while ago one of our viewers, Randall Scott, asked if we couldn’t make a video about the Blaster Master series. Many months later that video is finally here! Sorry about the delay dude….but here’s our best effort for a series that we really didn’t have that much experience with until now.
I never played the original Blaster Master much as a kid. I was probably about 8 years old when the original was released and I was very familiar with the NES at the time, but I don’t think the game was really all that popular back then. I think I’m just as surprised as SunSoft to find that the game, apparently, had a big following in the west. No one I ever knew had this game, yet over time it’s become one of the all time great NES games. To each their own!
There were a lot of sequels and paint by numbers remakes of Blaster Master produced over the years and, frankly, none of these games were interesting enough to devote that much time to. However, in recent years, Inti Creates, a Japanese studio formed by ex-Capcom employees, has been turning out games in the Blaster Master Zero series….a completely re-imagined and ultra enhanced take on the original game that maximizes everything SunSoft got right, while smoothing over all of the flaws.
We hope you enjoy our review and overview of Blaster Master Zero, which we played on the Nintendo Switch
Thank you very much for watching!
