This is my introduction to the Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast. I'll walk around the camcorder and discuss various features and design issues, and then see how well it compares to a Panasonic GH4 and a JVC LS300 when it comes to indoor video– lower light, higher ISO.

In this case, I set up a scene with a dark background to help reveal noise, and set all three camcorders to 75 IRE on the yellow tape.
The BMD URSA Broadcast was at the top of it's ISO scale, and the bottom of it's shutter speed capability. How does it look compared to the LS300 and the GH4? Well, I have the footage here to show you.
