A Eurasian Blackcap singing from a willow tree. The bird's song has earned it the nickname the ‘northern nightingale’ and the ‘mock nightingale’ because of its beautiful fluting song. The Eurasian Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla) is part of the warbler family. It breeds across much of Europe and into western Asia and North Africa.
