Spanish artist Calo Carratalá shares his vision of the Amazonian rainforest, which he has travelled to on numerous expeditions in Peru, Ecuador and Brazil. Calo Carratalá recreates the landscape, drawing on his personal experiences and the sensations the setting exudes.
His paintings and drawings illustrate a forest that he has lived in, transcended and fully assimilated. Without implying it, the artist challenges our relationship with nature, and the ambivalent feelings it can inspire, between fear and fascination.
