Crazy Horse Memorial located Black Hills of South Dakota. Korczak Ziolkowski was the man who carved the monumental carving of Crazy Horse on Thunder Mountain on private land. Upon his death, his wife Ruth took over the project and to this day it is still not completed. Private funding and donations are the means for keeping this going. There is a huge cultural center that houses a great museum for visitors to learn about the monument as well as the history of the Plains Indians.
