So, the seminal 1974 horror classic "Black Christmas" has gotten a second remake, which I don't think ANYBODY asked for. But it's here nonetheless, and we can thank the good folks over at Blumhouse for delivering us another horror movie remake before we flap our way into the roaring twenties.
Unfortunately the numbers are in, and Black Christmas 2019 failed to reach the projected $10-12 million opening weekend box office, bringing in less than half of that. The critics have been equally unkind, as the film currently sits with a 43% tomatometer rating over on Rotten Tomatoes, and even less of an audience score, sitting at a dismal 30%.
But what went wrong? There are a plethora of reasons for Black Christmas 2019's disastrous release, and in this video we will be looking at 9 very specific ones that caused this movie to end up on Santa's naughty list this year.
