Bitcoin miners quietly became the landlords of the AI boom.
How we're taking advantage of news like this is inside
skool.com/coinpicksgenesis, link in my bio, a dollar a month.
Everybody is asking who wins the AI race. Nvidia, OpenAI, Microsoft.
Wrong question. The shortage is not chips and it is not money. It is
land that already has power running to it under a contract.
So go look at who owns those sites. TeraWulf. Cipher. Hut 8. Core
Scientific. Applied Digital. IREN. Every one of them is a Bitcoin
mining company.
For a decade they did one thing. Find cheap electricity, fight through
interconnection, build the substation, turn megawatts into money. The
world called it wasteful and bad for the planet the entire time.
Then AI showed up. You can build a chip factory in about two years and
raise a hundred billion dollars in a week, but you cannot skip a seven
year grid connection line. In Virginia the utility has roughly 70
gigawatts of projects waiting, about three times its all time peak.
So the neoclouds lease the buildings from the miners and fill them
with chips. Public miners have already signed more than $70 billion in
AI contracts. CoreWeave alone carries a $99 billion backlog, and
almost none of those buildings are theirs.
AI did not replace crypto. Crypto quietly built the floor AI is
standing on.
Follow for the moves the news skips.
