What is biodynamic farming – and how is it different from organic agriculture?

In this documentary, filmmaker Mattias Olsson explores the controversial and often misunderstood world of biodynamic farming. Developed in the 1920s by Rudolf Steiner, biodynamics combines organic farming principles with anthroposophy, lunar planting calendars, and unique soil preparations – including the famous practice of burying cow horns filled with manure.

Filmed in Järna, Sweden – a center for biodynamic agriculture – the film investigates whether biodynamics is simply a deeper form of regenerative farming, or something more esoteric.

Featuring original music by Joakim Ehn.
