Bike shed how to build - 002 Check+Test

In the second of my videos following pricklysauce.com build of, what I like to think of, as a bike wardrobe, I check all the dimensions of the shed, sketch out the details and do some testing.
The unique design of this bike shed is the scaffold pole slider and its height is critical. And what is the smallest width that four bikes can fit into when hung up?
Nothing for it than to get out some scaffolding and test at one to one scale. This is what I love about designing and creating, in that you just get stuck into it, you have an idea so just test it out.
Spring has arrived so what better place to play than in the garden!
I make a ROD, a one to one drawing on a scrap piece of hardboard to check that the slider can get through the door frame. By doing this I had to adjust the height of ridge by about twenty millimeters so that it wouldn't foul.
This is a great technique for making sure 100%, quick to do and saves making a mistake.
...and I make the biggest selfie stick EVER possibly! Who needs a drone.

I also make a series of videos called 'Its a Rubbish Challenge' where I challenge myself to give the things that we throw away a new life, to make them useful or adapt them to save buying in new 'stuff'.
