In the Episode 8 of the Real Crisis in Cosmology, LPPFusion Chief Scientist Eric Lerner puts in context the news about the Dark Energy Surveys Dark Matter map, which has created a Dark Mystery for Big Bang theorists. The news was that predictions based on the Big Bang theory of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) were in conflict with maps of galaxies produced by the Dark Energy Survey (which actually observes the light emitted by galaxies, and does not detect Dark Energy). Lerner points out that this is just the latest of many observational contradictions of the Big Bang theory of the CMB. He discusses one of the biggest wrong predictions, that small fluctuations in CMB should appear random on the sky. They dont. More contradictions will follow in the next episode, as well as a more detailed discussion of the Dark Energy Survey. In a near-future episode well describe how the CMB really came to be, without a Big Bang.
