Previous models couldn't capture the full picture of what's happening on the Great Lakes. Michigan Tech researcher Pengfei Xue seeks to change that. He is developing an integrated regional earth system model to help the Great Lakes community adapt to climate change, reduce the impacts of coastal hazards, and create a healthy ecosystem.
