The pop-up barbershop at Michigan Technological University offers hair care for all textures —

and grooms student self-esteem. Why did we do it? To help Huskies feel a sense of belonging. The shop and visiting barber serve everyone, including students who were waiting months to get cuts at home, those cutting each other’s hair, and students spending time and money driving 100 miles to get to the closest shop.
