About this video: There are tons of different Minecraft settings, and they all have different effects on performance, the look of Minecraft, and how the game feels.
Video settings are we will look at first because generally that is what is thought about with best Minecraft settings. To get started, you will see Fullscreen Resolution. If you play fullscreen, the lower this is, the less lag you’ll have.
Generally, the best performance you will get is by turning everything all the way down, off, or to the “Fast” setting. Once you have confirmed, you aren’t lagging, I would suggest increase render distance, turning on smooth lighting, and enabling “see through leaves”. These settings will make Minecraft look better and more playable while still having the video settings tweaked.
After video settings, you can check your FOV. I’d recommending loading a world and select your FOV that way. This is a setting better seen in-game to find the perfect one for you.
Music & Sound settings are also personal preference, and they can be configured how you like. For example, you can turn off music or passive mob sounds.
Chat Settings are another issue you may run into. Make sure your chat is set to “Shown”. Otherwise, commands may not work, and neither will chat.
