If you are foraging and also hunting, you need a firearm that is versatile and that can be carried in a way to keep your hands free for picking. This is my opinion on combination guns as good forager's firearms, with a bit of footage from foraging for reishi (Ganoderma tsugae) mushrooms, puff balls, jelly hedgehogs, and more.
This particular combo gun is a Valmet 12 gauge over .222 Remington with a .22 LR adapter.
