Transcript below:
Hey whats up everybody its Dallas with Gadget Hacks. And today Im gonna show you how to try the new Firefox Focus browser before its released for Android.
Okay, so Firefox Focus is a privacy-oriented browser thats been around for a few months on iOS, but still hasnt made its way to Android.
Thats a shame, too, because its basically a full-time Incognito Mode browser, and it has a few tricks that make sure ads and tracking cookies wont follow you around.
But, Mozilla actually has a Github page for an Android version of the open source app, and it looks like theyre pretty far along in the development process already.
So Kevin, whos one of our writers at Gadget Hacks, went ahead and compiled an APK out of the latest code on that Github page.
Basically, its a pre-release version of the exact app Mozilla will eventually put out, and I gotta say, its pretty smooth and stable already.
The app should work on any device running Lollipop or higher, so if you want to try it out, just make sure Unknown Sources is enabled in Settings, then head to Step 1 at the full tutorial on Gadget Hacks to grab the Firefox Focus APK.
From there, launch the APK from your notification tray, or with any file browser, then just tap Install.
At this point, youre all set to try it out. Its got a simple interface with a cool color scheme, but thats kinda secondary.
The real story here is a set of solid privacy features that you can check out in Settings.
By default, itll block trackers from ads, analytics, and social sites, so basically your browsing history doesnt follow you around across the entire web.
Theres also an option for blocking content trackers, but like it says, that can break some webpages, so you may or may not want to turn it on.
Aside from that, its a pretty straightforward web browser. The only obvious downside that I can think of is that it doesnt have tabs, so its just one page at a time.
But its actually pretty quick and lightweight, and while youre browsing, youll see a floating delete button in the bottom right corner.
Basically, when its time to bail, just tap this button and all traces of your browsing session will evaporate instantly.
So yeah, its a pretty simple concept, but I think its awesome that we can try this before its officially released.
As always, though, wed appreciate your feedback in the comment section below, and well see you again next time folks, but until then...happy gadget hacking. Try Mozillas New Firefox Focus Browser on Android Right Now [How-to]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Q0oDozW-T04/mqdefault.jpg)

Resize & Align Your Home Screen Icons to Fit Material Design
Full Tutorial: http://bit.ly/UpdateIcons

In this video, Ill be showing you a cool little app called Materialize that lets you create your own home screen icons using Googles Material Design standards.
This is perfect for those icons that arent following Material Design guidelines, which results in some of your home screen icons being larger than others. You can adjust the shape, position, and background fill if youd like, and you can even export your icons to be loaded as a makeshift icon pack, so theres plenty to like here.

NOTE: Root and Xposed required.
In this video, Ill be showing you a simple Xposed module called Google Search Bar Destroyer that does exactly what its name implies and removes the Google Search bar on almost any launcher.
This is mainly intended for folks who use their phones stock home screen app, as these generally dont allow you to change many settings. The module works by blocking a hook that the Google App uses to insert itself into your home screen, so it should work with any launcher that has an embedded search bar.
