In 2018, more than 160 environmental activists were killed around the world and more than half of those killings came from Latin America. We speak with Silvio Carrillo, a journalist from the Bay Area and nephew of Honduran environmental activist Berta Cáceres. Cáceres was killed in 2016 in Honduras while she was fighting to protect indigenous rights.
