The Latinx community generates 2.6 trillion dollars in GDP per year in the US today—that's larger than Brazil and over twice the size of Mexico. Plain and simple: investing in our community is just good business. Many Latinx-owned companies authentically infuse their culture into their products to appeal to a massive and rapidly growing consumer demographic. In this episode, we explore our community's "Latinxcellence" in the form of ambitious entrepreneurs who are shattering glass ceilings in their respective industries -- like Paola Garces, who created the first Latinx video game heroine. With the help of our contributor's Ivan Emilio and Blactina, aka Nydia Simone, we talk to people like Mike Moya, owner of the Mexican candy inspired business, Dulze edibles, and Aisha Cort, Founder of Vela Negra. We take a look at other inspirational Latinx-owned businesses that channel identities into the products they sell, like the lifestyle brand, Hija de tu Madre, and the Miami-based Mexican popsicle brand Paletas Morelias. These entrepreneurs prove that you can be successful in business while never losing sight of where you come from.

We have different accents and experiences, but we are ALL Latinx.
