This is my ‘first impressions’ video of the CSCSYS50, a cordless sliding table saw from Festool.
I’ve had the saw commissioned for about a week, and this is my honest assessment of it at this stage. I have no axe to grind with Festool, and you should spend your money on the tools you find most appropriate for the work you do. I really like the saw and it does exactly what I expected of it, but there are some very odd design decisions that I struggle to understand.

Back at the workshop drawer cabinet and in this one I make the final pair of inset drawer boxes from Birch-faced Poplar plywood with Maple faced globulus plywood fronts using loose tenons and Peanut 2 connectors, and I fit them with full extension soft-close undermount or concealed drawer slides. Coloured MDF. The two main brands (in the UK) of coloured throughout MDF are Valchromat and Finsa Fibracolor; I used Fibracolor in Anthracite (dark grey) as it comes in larger sheets that make it less costly than the Valchromat. Easier just to Google the name to find a stockist local to you.
