In this video I will show you how to remove the tailcap switch from many flashlights. The Bell and Howell tac light uses this method as well as many others. The Atomic beam flashlight the switch simply pushes out. The light seen here is a brookstone flashlight that I've had for years.
WHAT TO DO:
For the Bell and Howell Tac light and many others you will need to get two precision screwdrivers and put one them in two of the holes. One in each side then turn anticlockwise and it should loosen.
FOR THE ATOMIC BEAM FLASHLIGHT:
The tailcap switch simply pushes out, you will need to push very hard to get it out. After removal of the switch using any of the above methods you should be able to repair the switch. You can use one from another flashlight or buy the cleo ladies electric razor and tear it down. there is a similar switch inside which may work but you might need to get a little macgyverish with it.
