Vin Diesel never met his biological father, he left the family before the baby was born. He was raised by his mom and stepfather instead. His biological father was African-American, while his mother was of English, German and Scottish descent. So his mom raised him to love his multi-racial background.
Growing up in New York, Vin Diesel was always fast and furious.
When he was only 7, he and his brother along with some friends, broke into a theater with the intent of vandalizing it. But they were caught by the artistic director of the theater. And the funny thing is, instead of calling the police, she offered them roles for the upcoming show. That was a life changing moment that gave him inspiration to become an actor.
After finishing high-school he went to college to study creative writing.
He was even working as a break dancer for a dollar.
He was also working as a bouncer at nightclubs for 10 years. He spent those years working as a bouncer by night and auditioning by day.

Vin Diesel dropped out of college and went to Los Angeles to try and succeed as an actor.
He struggled really hard with his career. His road to success was painful, filled with failures and rejections. He was turned away from auditions for being too light, too dark or not having enough hair.
After being rejected too many times, disappointed he went back home. But He realized that he needed to take control of his life, he needed to take control of his career, So he began making his own movies!
Even though he's been in many movies, he is mostly know for his iconic role in the "Fast And The Furious" series. Vin Diesel became one of the highest paid and most famous Hollywood actors. Today, his net worth is $200 million.
