As a teenager, despite getting a lot of attention for her looks, Gal Gadot was not really interested in modeling. So, instead of making money working as a model, she decided to get a job at Burger King. At 15 every day after school, she was flipping burgers.
At age of 18, she became Miss Israel and went on to compete in Miss Universe. But she deliberately sabotaged herself from winning, because that wasn't her dream.
Her first role in Hollywood was in the movie "Fast & Furious" (2009). And she was cast as a result of her military training. She even did her own stunt work.
Few other small roles followed, but nothing big was happening to her. This path was not an easy one. It was filled with lot of obstacles.
"I had so many almost for big, great things, but I was never big enough of a name, It was always me and 'the big name."
"It just came to a point where I was like, 'I don't want to do this to my family. If it's not going to work, why push it?' I was on the verge of quitting everything and just going back to Israel."
